Here’s what you need to know.
The Baptist church is on the junction of Musters Road and Melton Road. The parking is rubbish. If you’re driving, please car share wherever you can. If you’re having Liberty Banger Cocktails afterwards, please don’t drive at all.
4pm Lucie’s helpers arrive – set up in the hall refreshments etc
4.30pm Singers arrive. If you’ve brought cakes etc please take through to the hall. There will be people there to show you the way.
4.45-5.30pm Singers to soundcheck and get on and off stage. Please be patient – this is the most boring bit of any concert and I’ll need your full attention throughout. We’ll have one song each form each group and practice getting on and off stage. Please note that during the performance you can stay and watch the others but you won’t have an audience seat. You can also go into the hall and be seated there if that’s preferable. If you need a seat to perform, please ask somebody near you to help out – do not struggle on your own.
5.30-6pm Break for singers. (get your raffle tickets etc)
6pm – doors open to the audience (helpers you know what your jobs are!)
6.30pm Concert begins!
7.15pm Interval. Raffle draw.
7.45pm Second half of the concert – Christmas!
8.30pm finish.
9pm Lie in a dark room or drink Liberty Banger cocktails at the Refinery on Melton Road.
If these timings actually work, I’ll eat my (Santa) hat.
Please wear your choir t shirts. If you don’t have one, plain black please. Liberty Belles – plain black please. Black bottoms – trousers, skirt, leggings, yoga pants or tutu. Second half – Christmas accessories with the t shirts and black bottoms please.
